The Arctic Research Foundation (ARF) is leading a feasibility study to assess the potential for extending the operational season of the Port of Churchill by evaluating the requirements, opportunities, and challenges associated with increased vessel access through the Hudson Bay and Hudson Strait shipping corridor.
This study is funded by the Governments of Canada and Manitoba and focuses on understanding the potential benefits, challenges, infrastructure requirements, and potential impacts associated with expanded marine activity in Hudson Bay and the Hudson Strait.
